I have experienced this.
When I was about 35 I was in an age gap relationship and it was wonderful. He was 78 and we met on a night out at a show where my friends band were playing. He knew them too but our paths hadn't previously crossed. He offered to buy me a drink for which I was grateful and we started chatting. I didn't know his age but it wouldn't have mattered to me as we had an amazing connection. We spent the next 4 days together getting to know eachother and it felt so exciting. He was moving to New Zealand in a few months to live with his son and family (turned out to be 3) so couldn't offer anything permanent but we both agreed to enjoy the time we had. It was a beautiful relationship we were both enamoured with eachother. He had a beautiful soul.
I found out from his son he'd passed away 10 years ago but wasn't sad. His son told me he had a wonderful life full of happiness and had often spoken about me. They were having a celebration of his life in New Zealand which I attended via video. I know wherever he is he'll be smiling. I don't think age matters at all. As long as both parties are adults and both parties are happy I say GO FOR IT!!!!!
Life is too short to deny love just because of age, when the connection is there it's there. Thank you for reading my experience, I hope you have a gorgeous day 💋
