Married, Kids, The Lot
Only been married once. Not planning on doing it again!
Me and my other half, well, there's 20 years between us. Met her when she was still at school. I was in my mid 30's. We kissed but that was it. Until, of course, she was 'legal' and I knew that she was still fine with dating and loving an oldie like me.
She was!
Things sped quickly and we 'did a thing' - got married!
So, any worries or differences that I've noticed in relating to this younger creature? Actually, by luck, there's 28 years between her and her big sister and, thanks to family dynamic and their mum not able to cope, she went to live with her big sister at the age of 10. She got to understand things like cultural references from her - music and film etc - and slang, so when I rocked up she could relate.
We're not a modern couple, even though a lesbian couple is quite 'modern' by that definition, but we like what we like. She's great with tech, I'm just good at smiling in the right direction!
So, do I see any issues? No. It's into it's 2nd decade of being together. As I get older I'll maybe get more infirm, but what has that got to do with love? Nothing!
We might get confused with mother and daughter at times, but that's not on us, that's the perception of the great unwashed out there.
We're happy. That's the main thing.
🙂
