what's the worst douchebag thing you've ever done?

for me it was when i was in my early 30s (over 20+ years ago) i was at my local watering hole sitting outside on the patio smoking a ciggy by myself as my friends were inside. the place was packed and in walks a man and woman that were my age. i offered them a seat at my table and we started talking about whatever. i was immediately smitten with the lady and i think she was of me too. i got to know they worked with each other and could sense he had a big crush on her. he could sense i was into her too and he was pissed she gave me so much attention and left in a huff...

me and the girl continued to talk and drink and have a good time. i increasingly grew more fond of her with every minute passing by. at one point we were sucking face like we were teenagers and thought that was not the best place for us to be so we took a taxi back to her place...and yeah, you know what happens next. when i woke up beside her in bed i realized i had forgotten her name. i went into the kitchen to look for her mail. i then remembered her name when i saw it.....she was still sleeping but i slipped out quietly never to hear from her again.

....i messed up on her big time and i feel like an ass for being an ass....i really liked her 😥
