Stonewalling? Maybe?
It's been weeks since I heard from my girlfriend, who in real time shut down on me during a very uncomfortable conversation. I didn't hear from her for over a week, making me anxious and causing me to cry every day out of uncertainty.
It wasn't until last Friday, when I zelled her some money that I owe her that I finally heard from her. I messaged her, requesting that she please let me know that she received the money, and offered to be around if she wanted to talk.
She texted me at night with the following:
"Got your Zelle, thank you very much for that. Not up for talking....take care of you....."
Having heard from her, I at least was finally able to breathe again. But since then, I've been depressed. I've had no motivation to do much of anything, and I have a list of things that desperately need to be completed. Especially for business.
My therapist suggested that she's stonewalling me, leaving me with no idea of when to expect to hear from her so we can sort things out and (hopefully) reconcile. If she really is stonewalling me, it's not fair. It's been suggested that I write her if I don't hear from her by next Friday. And if comes to that, I need to tell her that I should at least have an idea of when I can hear ANYTHING from her.
This isn't fair. It's killing me.
I'm currently at a party that a mutual friend of ours invited me to, determined to not let this bring me down. It's good to see some old friends again. Traveling roads that my girlfriend and I usually travel together for adventure related reasons without her made me sad.
