Wierd ex (not sex, but they could be wierd ex sex) interactions. Have you had any?
I had one today. Our daughter (staying with me for hols) has got really sick. I can't get her into any emergency out of hours medical place being as it's Sunday, so her mum (who's a nurse) came to help me out.
Nothing bad there.
On the way out the door, she commented how cold it is inside my house and I told her I need to totaly replace the dead AC system and it'll cost about $3000. She looked at me funny and said 'only $3000?' almost like for her (she has no mortgage on her house which she paid off in just 10 years finishing in 2016) $3k is chump change.
For me $3k is about a years worth of trying to scrape together savings after setting aside about $10k or more for all car and house insurances, power and water and phone bills, rates, etc. out of my annual after-tax income.
I would love to get the AC replaced but I'd have to take out a loan to do it. And I don't like credit cards or short-term personal loans as they have really high interest rates.
