Don't worry about what your friends may or may not be doing: tread your own path, and do what is right for you. Either think about settling down and do the same yourself, or else just enjoy your freedom without anyone else dictating your life to you. You can still enjoy your friendships and take an interest in your mates' childrenn if you don't wish for that much responsibility yourself..

If it's any consolation, marriage is nothing more than a financial arrangement these days. That's part of the reason why my spouse and I aren't quite considering divorce yet: it's financially beneficial for us to stay married on paper, even if we are separated.
