Heard of the 'golden retriever man' trend? It's normalising simping culture ewww

In a way it's turning the clock back around towards traditional values where a man was deeply committed to a woman, but at the same time it's taking the simping trend ingrained in weaponised toxic feminism and attempting to 'normalise' it as an outcome of gamified/transactionalised dating cultures of the present post-Vid era.

Are you a management consultant by day? :)
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@ArishMell No. The trend has come about because of situations like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, along with Tom Holland and Zendaya. It's 'apparently' being used to 'push back' against the so-called 'manosphere' movement, but that's debatable.

@zonavar68 I was actually teasing you about the prose, which is opaque enough to impress the modern "executive" type!

I read it several times but still could not understand its jargon. I could though see you were highlighting yet another attempt by Sunday-supplement writers, "celebrities" and the like paid to do nothing useful, inventing more artificial categories for people, as if we are items in an Amazon warehouse.

You don't have a girlfriend do you?

@zonavar68
Well then maybe you should reevaluate your ideas about women. Obviously your current way is not really working.
Unless of course, your goal is to never find anyone to spend time with, then you're in the right path.
Not trying to be a dk or confrontational.
Just a thought

@CurrentName Maybe you shouldn't copy/paste your reply multiple times if you want your point(s) to be taken seriously. I gave up on dating a few years ago after taking about 5 years to have any sort of real confidence again and have fully removed myself from all online dating as well. I had one last go this year just a few months back with a woman (who contacted me first) on a dating site but I got scared of the women's sudden expression of interest in sex after meeting up twice in person and backed out. I've realised I'm better off alone, as welfare of my 8 y/o daughter comes before any romantic connection would.

Sounds fake and gay.

@BohoBabe There's a matching trend called 'black cat partners' to describe the sort of women who find the idea of a 'golden retriever man' attractive.
