People that overweight aren't pigs or monsters, they're people. Emotionally damaged people. Likely have a big heart, maybe put too much before themselves and their own health because of not having good coping skills. It could be a lot of reasons. But they are still people and still lovable.
In saying that, I've never watched the show because I get so bored with the fat shaming.
My mom was a bigger woman. After seeing what she went through in life, I don't see obesity as gross, I see it as no different than a scar or a drinking problem or any other addict. It's just not as glamorous by societal standards.
I see people on here being friendly with and encouraging a drug addict. Like actual drugs. But if that person was addicted to food nobody would give a shit about them.

@ScreamingFox drugs, sex, food any type of addiction is AWFUL and hell for the person who's lliving it of course . Also ppl do treat drug addicts like shit , ever seen those ppl on skid row? Idk but at some point any addict does reach and become grotesque person if they don't get the help IF they even want it in the first place.

@XxBlahxX I think we're making the same point, I was simply bringing up an example I've seen here.
I used to volunteer to help homeless, a lot of them addicts/alcoholics, still people, nothing to laugh at. But yes I'm aware they get treated like shit by society. I also used to weigh 300lbs, people treat me very differently now.
I've never seen a parody show about drug addicts, for some reason it's less amusing than being fat?

@ScreamingFox because of the physical aspect of it. I use to work at a hospital and when THOSE patients came in ,like 600 plus, it was a SCENE and I'm not being rude but you could smell them coming to the floor. I think that's why they are more shocking to the system then the average homeless druggy.i used to be a fat ass too just never THAT huge. But by medical standards I was OBESE and I couldn't get fat ppl surgery bc I don't have all the debilitating illness that follow fat ppl so I had to do it the healthy way sadly 🫠
