If you disrespect me that’s not love

A relationship is about mutual respect .its about wanting the person you love to feel like #1. If you know your actions are going to hurt the one who say you love why do it ? This kind of behavior confuses me. I guess I’ll never understand why someone who loves me purposefully hurts me.
