Went to the company picnic today, wasted time

All my work “friends” were there and nice enough until they started breaking up into their little friend groups and walking off to do things, nobody asked me to join, nobody really initiated any kind of conversation, I tried making small talk to get a conversation started but I’m not that kind of friend, just a work friend who helps pass the time..

I stayed long enough to have something to eat and now I’m home, I just never ever fit in with any kind of group.
I’m done with trying, this is the last time
