@Ilovelily1986 That made sense when the man worked and the woman stayed at home, but if they are both working, that rule doesnt' really make sense anymore.

@Ilovelily1986 Maybe in the past , but not so much anymore. In fact my wife makes more money than me. Many couples I know, they are both similar earners.

@Ilovelily1986 Yeah I bet she is just dying to go to that 9-5 slog of a job every day.

@JimboSaturn I have no problem with the wife working. But she gets off around the time the kids get off from school. She keeps the house in order and makes dinner for the family

@Ilovelily1986 Again no longer the reality, my wife works longer hours and we both picked up my daughter at the babysitter or daycare. Most jobs don't have hours that you get off at school time. Also women deserve to be involved in the careers as much as men do.

@Ilovelily1986 I am really curious why you think she works shorter hours than he does or that he is the primary earner in this relationship. Her post seems to indicate that she works an equally demanding job. Aside from that, she related that he does not give any consideration to her physical well-being. She asks for him to help because her back hurts and he goes off and sulks like a baby. This is not him being a man. If he were a man he would honor and respect his girlfriend. She isn't his servant and he can share the responsibilities at home - that is, if he wants her to remain his girlfriend.
