People cheat because they enjoy cheating. Period.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@Fertilization who doesn’t enjoy good sex with a hot person?
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@Ferise1
Plenty of things feel good but destroy you; drugs, lies, ego trips. Enjoyment doesn’t justify harm. If someone cheats just because they can or because it feels good, that says more about their lack of character than their ‘needs’.

@Fertilization Life is long sometimes pleasure becomes more important than the rest. Doesn’t mean you want a relationship to end.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@Ferise1 If someone values short-term pleasure over long-term trust, they’re not afraid to lose the relationship — they’re just afraid to admit it.

@Fertilization you have a very fixed idea and you don’t want to budge from it
Also, people don’t even realise how much they love someone after awhile. All they see is the opportunity for extreme pleasure and obviously they’re gonna take it.

@Ferise1 If chasing pleasure means gambling love, then maybe the love wasn’t that deep to begin with. But yes, if self-control feels like oppression, I get why loyalty looks outdated.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@Fertilization it’s not a matter of self control. Now you’re just insulting me.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@Ferise1 Not trying to insult — just holding a different standard for what love and commitment should mean. We clearly see it differently, and that’s fine. Let’s leave it there. And I am not hurting you either.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@Fertilization yes women think of love and commitment first. They have a radar for that.
But men we forget our feelings we’re not in touch with our feelings at all times.
And our lust is always right at the surface, so sometimes after we’ve been with a person for years, all we feel is the lust for someone new and we don’t know about our feelings. And once we’ve cheated, we cry our eyes out for days and we regret it.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@Ferise1 I get that men are often disconnected from their emotions; society makes sure of it. But feeling lost isn’t a free pass to break someone. You don’t get to rediscover your feelings after cheating and call it growth. Regret after damage doesn’t undo the damage. It just shows you knew better — too late
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@Fertilization no. I explained to you that we don’t know better! I feel like you’re going out of your way to misunderstand me.
Can’t blame a dog for eating a treat when you’re not looking.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@Ferise1 If love only matters after it’s broken, it was never love — just possession disguised as emotion. And if desire wins that easily, then loyalty never stood a chance.
