The Ball Is In Her Court

So, after not hearing from my girlfriend in nearly two weeks, and being that I owe her money, I was finally able to at least get the ball rolling with paying her off this morning.

After I Zelle'd her the money I texted her simply to notify her that she should see the money, and I requested for her to at the very least confirm that she received it. Since we're supposed to go away next week I told her that if I don't hear from her by Monday I'm going to have to assume the trip isn't happening and I'll cancel our hotel reservation before it goes through.

I know she read the text. It's only 10:18am where I am, so I'm doing my best to not make myself overly nervous, as she's usually at work until 5 and I remember there's a LOT going on there.

While I'm feeling somewhat better than I've been, and while I'm trying to be calm and pragmatic about things, five years of the most special relationship I've ever been in is a scary thing for me to lose.

UPDATE:

After I wrote on this, she responded to me, thanking me for the money and requesting we speak either tomorrow or Sunday, to which I agreed.

Sounds like she might be breaking up with you my man, it's hard to say. Hopefully I'm wrong and it all works out, but you should be prepared for anything at this point.

It's good that you paid her back. Regardless of what happens, no one can ever say you didn't make her whole.

@GohantheThird I'm far from making her whole, this is just the beginning. But I absolutely will make her whole.

I hope we stay together, I really do. I'll find out my fate this weekend at some point.
@GymRat584 whatever happens, be strong.

@GohantheThird I have to be. Thanks for all your support, by the way.
@GymRat584 no prob. Hope for the best, but prep for the worst.
