Why would a gay guy lead on a girl?

Historically it has happened when a person is secretly gay and wants camouflage. Without informed consent, it is cruel. If you are using someone to hide your true nature but they think you’re sincere, it’s cruel.

Unfortunately, it was our society that put men in that position to lie. We must also admit that we still attach a stigma to it.

@calicuz I don’t argue that society did not force it, nor that there is still a stigma. But there are a good many people publicly living as their hearts incline and doing quite well. Not every such person chose to involve other innocent hearts. No matter the motivation, it’s still cruel.
