Have you ever been involved in a long-distance relationship?

I met a girl in Hawaii, we had fun for about a week, then she went home to Illinois and I back to western Canada. We sent emails back and forth but really, aside from some minor local interests, there really was no point to it and it finally ended.
If you are willing to commit, you have to fly there and do that. Watch out for scammers too, I have heard of lots of "relationships" getting to the point where she is going to fly to you, and you send her money for the ticket, then you never hear from her again.
