Almost 3 years of long distance, but we saw each other once or twice every month, and spent summers together. And had a realistic plan to end the distance, which we did when she moved in with me. We were married for 7 years. We are divorced now.
I think many people misunderstand long distance relationships these days. Unless you have a realistic plan to end the distance, it won’t last.
The ones who try to have purely online / over the phone relationships with no realistic plan to ever even meet each other are even more ridiculous. Humans simply don’t work that way.
