If you're in a relationship, is one of the 'alpha'? Is one of you the 'trophy partner' ?

Elon Musk reckoned he was the 'alpha' with his first wife, and that he wanted to portray her as a 'trophy wife'.

What do you think of this sort of dynamic? Is this what makes people want a 'female led relationship'? Is an FLR, is the woman the 'alpha'? Or is that not how it works?
