What do you think of people who refer to their partners as THE gf/wife or THE bf/husband? Rather than MY gf/wife or bf/husband.

Ive also heard someone refer (more than once) to their partner as “my human”. “I love being with my human.”

My wife let me know early on that she was not enamored of the phrase "the wife".
"My human" is affected and absurd. What? As opposed to your favorite quadruped or amohibian, or piece of furniture?
