What do you think of people who refer to their partners as THE gf/wife or THE bf/husband? Rather than MY gf/wife or bf/husband.
Ive also heard someone refer (more than once) to their partner as “my human”. “I love being with my human.”

To me, it sounds as if they are sort of disassociating themselves from their partner. I'm glad to say that none of men I've been in a 'couple' kind of relationship with, have ever referred to me as THE wife or girlfriend. Not around me, anyway.
