What do you think of people who refer to their partners as THE gf/wife or THE bf/husband? Rather than MY gf/wife or bf/husband.

Ive also heard someone refer (more than once) to their partner as “my human”. “I love being with my human.”

I think of that as the language of my parents' generation. (And I only heard men refer to their wives that way, not the other way around.) I am surprised that this style of speaking is still in use. I never hear it among my friends or coworkers.
