WHAT DO U TALK ABOUT IN THE TALKING STAGE

asking for a friend btw cause i’m useless but she’s talking to this guy she’s known of for quite a long time which she says makes it even more awkward to talk to him. so what kind of stuff would u talk about in a talking stage with someone you already kind of know? she already knows who his parents are, about his family, what he does for work so what can u bring up to start a convo?

for me, i would be more on the direct side, like if i am looking to get in a relationship with a guy, how about talk about his current relationship status, issues he has had or that i have had in previous relationships that i would be looking to avoid in future ones
