Hi, will you proof read my friend breakup text?

Jose, I wanted to reach out to talk about our friendship. I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I appreciate you giving me the space to do that. You are an amazing person to your very core- sincerely one of the most thoughtful and charismatic people I have ever met. However, the regular and long-lasting arguments we have take an enormous toll on me, and I don't believe they're healthy for either of us. With that in mind, I want to thank you for the many many good times and memories we've shared, but I believe it's best we go our separate ways. I hope you can understand and respect my decision

I don't know the full context of this, but if this is a platonic relationship and she's not overly clingy, do you really need to send the text tho?

You could just gradually distance yourself?

But yeah, if you've already tried this and they're not getting the point, then what you wrote sounds good
@Fishy my post before this is about the friend, its long but theres a paragraph summary at the bottom. Basically thougg they're extremely explosive and monologs for literal hours at a time. We fight regularly for hours, usually when I'm getting ready for bed, on both my birthdays, after i see other friends, etc. Ive told him i want space, and hasn't reached out much. But he asked if we could catch up and i just dont want to engage anymore
