Sex Surrogates – Prostitution in Disguise?

Definition: Sexual surrogacy is a therapeutic practice designed to help a person become more comfortable with sex, their body, and/or the emotional and physical skills they need for intimacy.

In other terms. The client works together with a licensed sex therapist and a sex surrogate.

Sexual surrogacy is a controversial and commonly misunderstood form of therapy. Due to its potential ethical and legal complications, there is a lack of published research on sexual surrogacy.

Would you consider having sex with a surrogate under supervision of a sex therapist as a form of legal prostitution?

The client will be charged by the therapist and perhaps the sex surrogate to perform a sexual act that is basically not free of charge and thus cannot be considered as being “normal”.

What is your view on this controversial topic?

Think you need some more in that definition. It's incomplete and totally misrepresentative.

There is sexual intimacy and there is the sexual act.

Would you consider anyone hugging another prostitution? Would you consider being having seen anyone and being comfortable with being nude, prostitution?

Then you're ALL guilty of prostitution.
The fact that there is money involved is nothing more than like going to a topless bar or strip club.

Would you have women wear burkas? 🤷🏻‍♂️

@DeWayfarer In sex surrogacy, it is the act that takes precedence and not so much the intimacy. It is a way for a client that suffers from anxieties or other sexual issues to be treated.

@Stephie wrong! That really is illegal in all of the USA.

Even in Nevada where prostitution in some parts prostitution is legal depending on the counties and cities laws.

@Stephie sorry to inform you, yes "the sexual act" for pay in any form IS illegal everywhere ACCEPT certain counties and even cities of Nevada.

Nevada is the only state that doesn't have prostitution laws.

EVERYWHERE else prostitution is defined on the state level.

What I think doesn't matter. The sexual act itself is defined in those states.

Now do I think that's right is a totally different matter.

Yet being intimate is a grey area in many states just by itself. In some states even living for some time with another is considered being married. Common law marriage!

And yes I absolutely do believe that is wrong. I'm certain guilty of that!
