Polyamory and open relationships

I know it's not the social norm but why is it so far fetched to people that some couples operate well in these types of relationships? I've been both open and poly for years and we love each other and are committed to each other just the same.....

It really should be the norm tbh. Monogamy is a very outdated concept. I was raised by a poly quintuple and they're the best parents I could've ever asked for and the best people I know. I'm surprised more people aren't in poly relationships these days simply for financial reasons 😂

@BigImo I'm not going to try to tell people what The Norm should be, but definitely feel that polyamory should be more normalized than it is.
