Is black hair actually very dark brown?

I want my future girlfriend/wife to have much darker hair, than me. I have blonde hair. I want the hair to look naturally black.

technically, hair color is made of a mix of two types of melanin called eumelanin and pheomelanin.

eumelanin comes in two pigment colors: black or brown. phomelanin is a red pigment.

blonde people have very little of any of those pigments, red haired people have more phomelanin than eumelanin, brunettes have more brown eumelanin pigment than the other types, dark brunettes have a mix of brown and black eumelanin, and so it's totally possible to have predominately black eumelanin and therefore truly black hair.

Please tell me you have deeper criteria for a wife than black hair🤭

@SlaveEt I definitely do.
Statistically, far more people in the world have black hair than any other colour. Most of these have 100% true black hair.
Among Causasians, the range of dark brown to nearly shades is wide and common; true black is more commonly in the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions.

But if you want a successful marriage appearances are far less important than other factors like ability to listen and communicate, honesty, kindness, responsibility, shared values, interests, lifestyle preferences and goals.

Most of us end up with grey hair if we live long enough.
