Ghost of Christmas Past

Oh my god, this is always how it goes. It's been several months since I've spoken to N.D. (the 40-something year old guy) and always around Christmas he messages me and tried to re-ignite something.

Last year we hadn't talked for nearly half a year, and out of the blue for Christmas he bought me some Tiffany pearl drop earrings. I called him and thanked him for them and then we began to ease back into the quasi-relationship that we had before.. where I wanted something more, he wasn't sure, and I chased...

I am so over him and exploring my new relationship with A.J. It's so annoying that last night, maybe even sometime in the morning around 3am, it looks like N.D. sent me a friend request on FB. He always does something bare minimum to try to catch my attention, and back when I was super excited about him, I would run to it like a moth to a flame. But I've had some time to think and grow.. I've experienced something that feels more reciprocal, and I just don't think he could ever give me that.... and I don't think he wants to give me that.

So I think I'm going just going to let the friend request sit. We didn't work for a reason, and I'm happy now.
