Musical differences in relationships.

I love classic rock, I also like some heavy metal, blues, classical, film scores, folk music, and alternative rock as well. I even like some post rock/ambient music. Classic rock is my favorite though. I used to want a girlfriend/wife that liked classic rock like me but now I kind of want someone that likes different music than me, so that way I won't get sick of my favorite music. I just want her to respect my taste and I will respect hers. Do any of you have a significant other with similar or different taste in music than you?

me and my gf have musical tastes that overlap a bit. she is basically 80s music. i also like 80s music, but, i listen to alot of metal and grunge as well as some hip hop and country. we can find common ground, so there are no problems.
