I think that what the real question is should the wife trust him again because attraction and ACTING on that attraction are two different things and men or women will always be attracted to others to various degrees.
In the end will he cheat again? That’s impossible to answer that question as that has a lot more to do with the character of the INDIVIDUAL man and the state of the marriage which apparently is not good.
A reminder to anyone who may read this is that generalizations about ALL men or all women who have cheated is not appropriate it’s about individual character and circumstances
