You should see the other guy!

Some times we meet someone whom had struggled with others oppression, abuse or whatever bad, horrible or devastating experience...we see them scarred and frigile and we think "ok, they need our love and surely they will notice the difference between how we treat them and their past". we start having expectations of how much love, care or respect we would recieve in return but some times that will not happen because what we didn't know is that those scars are not the scars of a helpless victim but the scars of a veteran fighter and you should see the other guy(s) whom stumbled with him/her

Never mistake love for gratitude. Nobody owes love to anyone no matter how much one does for another person. If you deliberately go after broken or struggling people in hope it would be easier to get them love you and receive special treatment from them then there's a large portion of self-interest in your actions in the first place.
