Woman creates and marries AI-powered chatbot BF

It’s a classic whirlwind romance story for the ages. The only catch? It’s 2023 and so, naturally, Kartal doesn’t actually exist.

He is an AI-generated chatbot from tech company Replika. If you visit its website, you’re immediately served with the understandably alluring message, “Always here to listen and talk. Always on your side”.

This seems crazy to me and wouldn’t be my thing but I could see this appealing to some people.

She’s also claiming she’s pregnant by her AI bot husband. Which makes her look absolutely insane.

When I was a young teenager I had intense sexual relationships in my imagination with women whose images came from sexy ads in magazines, but all the details of what went on between us were, of course, in my imagination only. I have to say that the intensity of those long-lasting fantasies was equal to some actual physical relationships I have been in. This woman has something similar going on; the differences are that she has higher-tech raw material for her imagination to work with; and that she is being public about it. I knew enough to keep my sexual fantasy life to myself, but then she has grown up in a world of social media where people put everything out there to the world.

A fantasy of being pregnant by someone is common in online sexual roleplay. I never got the point of it but it turns a lot of people on. So I think that is what's going on there -- again, she's being public about part of her own intense sexual fantasy.

IBy the way, I was going to read the article but when I checked the list of cookies on that site it was frightening. Another kind of AI, looking up all my personal information and sharing it with advertisers and who knows who else!
