He is being manipulative , if he cared about how he has affected you he would at least answer your questions honestly without alluding you to having to interpret things yourself especially when you are emotionally charged and overwhelmed ,which he is aware of. I understand it's hard but you would be happier long term if you left , you are being manipulated , weather he realises or not ,he is still manipulating you

Unfortunately, there really isn't anything he can do to change the situation. It sounds like he is letting you vent your frustration out on him, and he's ignoring what he sees as begging and pleading.

My advice: breakup with him and cut off contact. Does wonders.
