Is setting your boundaries for your partner insecure, controlling, or for protection?

And if you choose, why is that?

Depends on the boundaries. If you’re communicating your likes and dislikes to build a good relationship and respectful of your partners needs too, it’s all good. If your setting boundaries to change the other person or trying to bend someone to your will, it won’t work and will do more harm than good.
