Does he like me just for my looks?

I’ve been on 5 dates with this guy. He recently texted me and said he can’t wait to see me in a sundress. My past bf was all about looks and it turned me off because he was so obsessed with looks. How do I know if this new guy I’m dating will be all about looks too. He doesn’t seem that way but I don’t know him well enough to know what he’s thinking. How do I respond to his comment “I can’t wait to see you in a sundress.” What should I text back and say?

That singular question won’t be the answer you’re looking for. Most men love seeing a woman in a sundress. Those who wear them are comfortable in how they look, and that confidence is attractive.

But your larger question should be built up by the evidence over your five or so dates. If he’s always commented on the visual and not as much on your personality or interests, then that could be the sign.

@southerngent I just kind of ignored his comment about that and later on in conversation about clothes I just said I like to dress what I find comfortable and he said he does too. He does also comment on my personality and tells me how thoughtful I am.
