Is it weird for someone to date the child of someone their parent likes?

Like their single parent likes another single parent, and their kids also like each other.

I don’t think it’s weird. But if both couples hook up I could see it causing a lot of problems. But I’m a big believer that parents should put their kids first. So the parents shouldn’t hook up and let the kids do it.
