What does it mean when an Ex hits you up?

So my ex (ok guy, relationship ended on ok terms) Sent me a txt asking if we could talk…
I waited a bit but I did call him back. He’s telling me that he misses me, and that loosing me was the biggest mistake of his life. (I doubt it) And he wants me to give him another chance… ( he ended the relationship btw)

I honestly thinks it’s bs, like no one suddenly txts their ex right? He must have some other intentions in mind 😒

What was the cause of the break up?
Have those issues been resolved?
Are there any deal-breaker issues that are unresolvable?
Have the two of you learned anything from your mistakes?
If so, how would you do things differently?
Do you still love him?
Do you share similar values, goals and preferences?
If you got back together, what might it be like? Would you want long term commitment and kids together? If you got pregnant, do you think he'd make a good dad?

The answers to these can help you decide.
