No, love isn't about rings or gifts. It is about connection and intimacy. I don't need a fancy ring to feel the intimate emotions of love. If I am in love deeply enough to marry someone then a 3 dollar, a 30k dollar, or even no ring at all is fine with me. People place too much emphasis on material things when the best things in life are those intimate connections.
