What did an ex-partner say or do that made you stop loving them?

For me, it's the realization that he will never change. Lies after lies.

Soon to be ex... "I don't trust you with other men". Ten years into a faithful marriage. I didn't have any friends of my own and never went out by myself, so there was no basis for that nonsense.

@SW-User No idea... there's no way to figure a narcissist.

He did have an ex who cheated on him - and she looks similar enough to me (her eyes are a different colour) that my mother in law would call me by her name

narcissists do self project guilt. Blame you, blame anyone for their bad behaviour but them.
