Anyone ever leave a marriage for less serious reasons?

Ex. Not bc of cheating or domestic violence but maybe more bc of spousal personality conflicts like being selfish, having a chronic confrontational/argumentative personality to you or others, difficult or absurd to the point of doubting their intellect, never wrong kind of person who lives in their own world? Or any other chronic personality issues?

I'm in a similar situation right now. Never trusts a word I say (despite me having much more life experience), has to argue constantly. I swear there's some days that if I said the sky was blue, she'd argue it was pink.

I love her, but don't know how much more of it I can cope with.

I swear it wasn’t like this before. How long together/married?@TheThinker

@DoubleRings Going on eight years together...

Not sure if it was always there and just got worse over the years, or if it's a relatively new thing.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

@TheThinker it’s a narcissism I think.

@DoubleRings From what else you said in your post, I think it might be NPD in your case.

In my case I suspect it stems more from insecurity and having been brought up to always defend your corner no matter what. Just don't understand why it's got worse these days.

@TheThinker hormones? How old is she?

@DoubleRings May I PM you the answer? It could be a little identifying to state in public.
