Is this what being in a relationship is about?

I spend time with friends, don't get me wrong. Yet my mind is swimming with him all the time. My personality has become "boyfriend and I" to some extent. I still do my own things but I can say that I spent about 70% of my time with him. Old habits like calling my friends daily sometimes for hours, spending afternoons at home on weekends, not bothering to maintain an appearance. All of those things have done a 180 degree turn. Relationships change you. I still like my friends, sometimes I miss them a lot, but it's become about him a lot more. I like it but I've turned into those sappy couples people steer clear of😅

I became the very thing I was thinking was yucky at one point

As long as it doesn't become the only thing in your life and you completely submerge your identity under his, then yeah, sure.

@DunningKruger I guess it just feels secure, not used to that. Like I know I can go and do my own thing but will prefer to be with him. Not really worried about if I'm being too clingy anymore since it's mutual. This security feels weird though.

@SW-User Well, then, enjoy it. Over time, this feeling will change and evolve into either something less all consuming but perhaps more meaningful, or into something breathtakingly painful.

@DunningKruger I trust him a good deal. It's scary for both of us but we been together for a year now😅
