Boyfriend ended things through a text message?

My boyfriend ended things with me through a text message then when I tried calling him, he said he will call me tomorrow I’m going to sleep in which he never did call me the next day. Just 2 days before he was telling me he misses and can’t wait to see me. All the while my mum was about to have cancer removal surgery just a few days later and he knew I was worried about my mum and he still ends up being so cruel to me. I’m really struggling with this and I just feel so hurt. How do I get through this?

The first thing to know is that decent people don't do that. So it says volumes about who he really is, far more than it has to do with you

@plungesponge Also he said he would meet up to talk about things and he went back on his word. It was his birthday recently too and I had birthday presents to give him and he just didn’t care. I was waiting to video call him for his birthday because he was away for work. I was waiting for over 1 hour with my cupcake and candle for him to sing happy birthday to him and he’s like I’m having dinner with workmates can we chat later? He’s honestly put a whole in my heart and I don’t know how to get through the hurt he caused me.
