Aside from being jerks, losers, sex/gender etc what is one trait your exes all have in common?

They’re all more mature than I was - most of my past failures were on me not them

Honestly I think any of my exes were in the process of figuring themselves out and in the end I ended up knowing I didn’t fit in or they let me know. I don’t think of them as jerks or losers. I see them as people I needed to meet for a reason and they would end up making me grow for better or worse.

Most are younger than me

Mental illnesses. First one has borderline personality disorder along with paranoia and the second one bi-polar with some schizophrenia mixed in. She faked everything...everything. After 9 years of marriage we wanted to go live with her lesbian girlfriend. That ended that marriage. On our second date, I asked my then who became my wife if there was any mental illness in her family. She said no, so I married her. We've been happy ever since.

I don't feel any of them were jerks or losers. They just didn't end up working out. But I guess a common denominator is that our personalities were too different. It seemed like something we could overcome or push aside, but it ended up ruining the relationship.

One trait? Ooof. Erm, hooboy, that's a tough one. Ignoring the obvious of course.
I don't want to sound flippant but they were all willing to let me slip them a length, apart from that their attributes are varied.

None of them had a career. Sure they had dreams, they periodically tried some stuff but none of them had 2 cents to rub together nor were they realistically going any place.

Theyre all damaged by some kind of addiction or childhood trauma.
