Would you date a person you work with?

There is a guy at my work that really captured my attention, we were having this eye contact and he keep coming near to my office, I feel like he wants to talk to me but how and how? This is the issue.
I think we both work in two different departments and that makes things complicated.
But I’m still hesitating… we are we heading with this ?
“ Don’t s**t where you eat” right?
But in my company we have a lot of couples that are working and dating together I don’t know why it’s not possible for me? Or I’m just complicating things…

@mellie the relationships were. The first girl I dated at a job, people really liked her and well me and her had run its course but I stayed with her because I felt it would negatively impact my job and I was correct. When we split up, people took her side and work was not such a great place to be around. I stayed but she left and that seemed to just annoy my coworkers more.
The second time I dated someone from work was when I was a assistant Chef and was soon to be head chef. The head chef at the time treated her like shit and one day when she was cleaning under a oven, he literally walked on her and started calling her all sorts of things basically blaming her and trying to get her fired. I retaliated and we both lost our jobs.
