Your days of truly private space are at an end, communication becomes even more important, there's nowhere to hide your emotional baggage when you move in with your S.O., so be honest if you're struggling with anything from mental health to finances. Once you move in together, finances become a much bigger part of the conversation, it's worth it to actually come up with a system for dividing the chores, don't expect everything to be 50/50 all the time, because that's not going to happen, You're going to discover pet peeves you never knew existed, Memorize each other's schedules so you don't fight for the bathroom, Make sure you still get some alone time so you don't completely lose your mind, last but not least have fun!

Communication communication communication. Make sure it’s solid before you move in and during. Agree on being honest on your struggles. Can’t hide much. Make sure you plan time together, dates and etc, still, but also time to be alone and spend with others. Work out a good balance. Discuss finances and make sure there is a equal effort for everything on both ends. Don’t let him walk on you and of course be considerate of him too.
Good to be together for a while first and know the ins and outs of your relationship.
Moving in is a big step and requires a solid foundation between the two of you, before safe to move forward.

Try to establish that you both have “me things”. It’s easy to be on top of each other too much. It can be easy to smother each other. Even in the best relationship.

From experience? You will truly find out if you are compatible for the long haul. ALL traits, habits, issues, etc come out when you are living with a partner.

Don't do everything "as a couple". Keep some interests/friends of your own. Share domestic tasks. For example, if one person is mostly doing all the cooking and washing up, the other person can dry the dishes/load the dishwasher and put things away.

@Fluffybull Good idea, thank you . Appreciate it !

Agree on finances and apportioning domestic chores before making the leap.
As youve been together a while presumably youre aware of his habits (including bad/annoying!) so hopefully no nasty surprises there.

Fun! But seriously, sweetie, make sure that you have some me time too. Being together, being a partnership is lovely, but doing everything together can be a bit boring...
With the newness of a relationship we always try to impress - cleaning, putting things away etc - just try to keep those things going. Don't let your standards slip!
Make up a rota; make sure that you share the jobs out...and enjoy your time together!!!!
😘

Well one thing's for sure. You're about to find out if your relationship is really going to work or not.

Whatever it is, if you want it done, expect to do it yourself.

This is beautiful. When moving together this is a awesome, but absolutely different than first stage. We need to be patient, meet again, understanding, accepting, without fight and rude,.. Never cold, always ready for new things... ETCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
