Age gap relationships , where there is an age gap of 20 years or more.

Is it just ..what it is ?
Or are there real mummy / son issues involved?

Usually psychological reasons: parent issues!

@Wiseacre There may very well be.

For me I unexpectedly discovered ( out of the blue ..it seemed ) that boys generally around the age of 7-10 begin detatching themselves from their mothers .

Perhaps its a societal thing, were they are encouraged to become more grown up or its natures way a natural shift 🤔

I felt saddened by this .

Since becoming involved in my previous relationship ( where my partner affectionately referred to me as mummy) I felt somehow less saddened @ losing the childhood relationship I had with my son , before he quite suddenly grew up.

And happy to allow my partner to forfil that role instead.

Still we were both 'non -related '
consenting adults . Is this a harmless dynamic. Is the question? .
