Christmas gift giving

My boyfriend decided that he doesn't want any gifts from me this year, and any money I would have spent on him I should use to get myself something, so he won't have to get me a gift.

Is that being practical or is he being a prick?

I find it hurtful, am I being overly sensitive?

If sounds like he’s being kind. As with anything sensitive in a relationship, find some quiet time and talk through it with him. You will both be better off for it.

Perhaps you guys could spend it on a date night or on something charitable. Just food for thought.
