What the hell happened?!
Why does my heart always get broken? ... he dumped me today. He said he didn't know why. He said he wanted to love me, but he just sees us as platonic friends. Then he started crying. 馃檮
He said he didn't want to have anxiety in the relationship or wonder "is this working"... I told him it's impossible to have a relationship without those things. There is no relationship in the world without some anxiety, and it's normal to assess a relationship and wonder if it's working.
In response he said he read an article that said "if it's meant to be it's easy"... I said did you even look at who wrote the article? Did they have any credentials after their name or was it just some random Veronica Mars journalist who knows nothing about relationships and is single herself? Lol. Because everyone knows that isn't true. No real relationship is easy. You have to put work into them for them to work.
To make matters worse, the whole reason I came over today was because there was a blizzard warning and I lived another 30 minutes away. So he dumped me around 10pm during a blizzard at his house and I couldn't leave. I made a bed on the couch and then he went right into his bedroom and shut the door and went to sleep. It's weird that not more than 4 days ago we were saying I love you. Now suddenly he was cold and distant and treating me like some stranger he met off the street mere minutes ago.
I felt like something had to have happened. He had to have met someone else, or he must've been feeling this way for quite some time and only just now telling me. Whatever the case was, I knew that having a reason didn't matter... even as much as I wanted one it wouldn't change a thing. He didn't feel the way he used to feel about me, and I was going to have to get over that.
Ugh... it's just so hard. And we had a trip planned for Hawaii, so I've been messaging some of my friends to see if they can take a short notice vacation. Wouldn't want all of the pre-paid things to go to waste.
