The couples I’ve seen that dabble in it haven’t been successful. One couple - the wife was constantly pushing the boundaries which turned her husband into a crazy person. Another couple - the girl was just trying to be the “cool wife” but wasn’t really into it and she felt like she wasn’t enough for him - leading to their split.

Just seems like too much damn drama for me. While the idea is intriguing, I’d rather just mess around with my person and have fun with that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Ynotjenn Yeah. It's a case of the grass being greener maybe [like a lot of things]. Things like that might be like the planets aligning perfectly for some, but others will likely find it difficult to find a healthy headspace - and personal space - for.

This also for me essentially deflates the idea of polyamory. I know I know: To each their own but polyamory to me just seems logistically a nightmare and like having to hang out with friends when you really need some alone time to process things. Some of us really need that alone time to decompress, and not think. [Referring to my needs - not speaking for others.] ✌️

@SW-User I absolutely need my alone time. Lots of it actually. Not everyone understands that and some even think it’s shady lol

@Ynotjenn I think the "Join the swarm" mentality leaves a lot to be desired in a person. It just lets me know they're very weak willed people...I wonder if that's who Sam Harris is talking about when he insists that There is no such thing as Free Will.

Hmm...what to have now,...coffee or tea. Well I've already had my coffee am now gonna have my tea. Vanilla tea too. Fitting given the thread topic. 🤣

@SW-User I’m a super social person - but I require downtown. I have to get all that energy off of me. Lol

I’m drowning in a Red Bull🤷🏻‍♀️🤓

@Ynotjenn Agreed! Even I like to be sociable now and then. It is nice to have a laugh with some people and just enjoy some good company. It is a good feeling, but everything definitely requires a certain amount of energy...emotional cost of living. Enjoy the Red Bull. ✌️

EDIT: Referring purely to socialising.
