What's the dumbest thing a significant other has said to you ?

My wife came home and called me out to check her car. She said she smelled "gas". I looked at her car and the entire windshield was covered in motor oil. She had been using her windshield wipers that were just smearing the mess around. I don't know how she could see through it.
The problem was the oil pressure gauge sending unit developed a small leak and was spraying motor oil out onto the windshield.

She didn't think anything about the constant mist of oil and the smeared windshield, but thought she smelled gasoline.
