[big]We agree On something!
[/big]
indeed! the government cannot do any of these things.
those are done by the Oil cartel
8000 oil leases,, but they are happier to keep gouging us, than use those leases
record profits for the Oil GIants

@SatyrService oil companies net about 7 cents on a gallon, the state and federal governments takes in excess of 43 cents per gallon not including corporate tax on oil company income. Please tell me where the greed exists.

@redredred 7cents a gallon
yeah I read the forbes article as well, recognized your figures
but that is a non sequitur, as tho that profit margin was somehow, penurious
it also does not account for the rest of the oil industry output, it is not all motorfuel
this is not about arguing,,, this is about planning for the future, and cleaning up the damage
do you have any alternative to petro?
$834 billion in profits.. Fossil Fuels Received $5.9 Trillion In Subsidies
43 cents per gallon,, how do you suggest we fund the highways.. no fan of arbitrary taxation, I prefer goods and services for my payment,. but that subsidy? that is FROM tax money. including that 43 cents.
as Oil becomes harder and harder to get, and we have not charged them for the enormous pollutant emission and damage, i find it difficult to feel sorry for an industry that has had free Reign to do much as they pleased for
100 years

@SatyrService I’m not saying don’t tax but just pointing out the the government is very much the more rapacious. I mentioned taxes on gasoline but the government also taxes diesel, tires, fuel oil and other petrochemical products.
There’s still plenty of petroleum in the ground and the technology for getting it is improving all the time. I don’t think the enormous tangle of regulation oil companies deal with could be considered “free Reign(sic)”

You're not helping anybody, least of all yourself.

@LordShadowfire You’re just angry because your president is a joke and your stuck with him until the mid terms when your party bleeds to death.
