So what books did everyone get for Christmas?

I got quite a pile, include “Vera, or Faith” by Gary Shteyngart, and “Clown Town” by Mick Herron. The latter is the latest Slow Horses novel. The former is a short novel by a weird and fascinating writer. Funny and serious at the same time. Told from the perspective of a 10yo girl. It’s a dystopian view of life in the US in the very near future. But also makes fun of people on both sides. It works because the main character is so interesting and sympathetic. Highly recommended.

Clown Town sounds interesting. I'll have to see if the library has the ebook. I don't see well enough to read real books anymore.

@hunkalove I really enjoy those books. And the TV adaptations are exceptional.

@Harmonium1923 Library has the ebook but only one copy and there are 16 people ahead of me. Gonna be a while.
